Parents Grieving Loss of Son
Miles Harrison remains hospitalized this morning and has not yet been taken into custody according to authorities.
Like stated yesterday, Harrison collapsed upon finding his newly adopted son still strapped in his car seat. He and Chase had driven to work sometime in the morning and he was supposed to drop him off at day care.
Harrison has been charged with manslaughter and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Currently, Miles Harrison is in a private hospital and the Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Ray Morrogh is being , (in my opinion) extremely fair.
“If he needs some short-term treatment to get stabilized, I would not interfere with that. I can certainly understand that might be in order given what’s occurred here,” Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Ray Morrogh said. “There’s no rush. If he needs treatment he should get it, and then he will face what he has to face.”
In honor of the couple’s privacy, both friends and family are declining all comment.
Morrogh stated that Harrison will not be charged with murder because there was no intent but Yevgeniy V Khorishko, press officer for the Russian Embassy, stated that consulate officials are still trying to determine if the child still had Russian citizenship.
