House Rules
I was visiting today with a friend whom I have have not seen since high school when the topic of politics came up. Actually, the topic of Sarah Palin came up because we were talking about how teenage girls today need a positive role model and young mothers need to see good family values (and is Palin really the one to represent that?).
What was funny though, is that she instantly stopped herself from rattling on about Palin and mentioned that her rule is not to talk about politics. Funny, I said, we have our own house rules…
No Politics, No Religion.
Her response was that the conversation inevitably comes back to politics, no matter what you are talking about.
True, especially when it’s Palin we have to talk about.
