The earthquake that rattled China has killed more than 65,000 people and more than 23,000 are still missing. Officials have not been able to estimate how many children have gone missing or have been killed.
However, since the quake, the country has suspended the one child only policy for quake only victims.

After a long ordeal, the has finally approved Madonna’s adoption of David Banda, whom she found in an orphanage in 2006.
Madonna nor Guy Ritchie were present for the ruling.

Organizations in Sichuan are currently preparing for the onslaught of hundreds of children, some that may be orphans and some that may have parents who are either missing or ill.

A 7-month-old baby in foster care died Monday in Mansfield Connecticut. The baby was being cared for by a licensed foster parent and investigators are still waiting for the results of the autopsy.
